Today I'll be talking over on Quiltmaker's blog, Quilty Pleasures, about a quilt I designed for their July/August 2014 issue using my Topiary line for Blend Fabrics called "Garden Spot".
It is really fun to make and a great way to try a couple of different appliqué techniques!
To celebrate, we are doing a joint giveaway on my blog and theirs of a fat quarter bundle of Topiary, plus two of my recent patterns from that line - Love Birds and Forever.

My son (7 years old tomorrow) and I are looking forward to spending a lot of time at the waterpark! He at such a fun age. Can't wait to make more memories with him and my husband.

I just returned from a week of bird watching in Tuscon so now it's time to relax. After my grandchildren leave and head home of course.

This summer I will be traveling to upper Michigan for my daughter's wedding. When I return home I will be working on Christmas presents that I am embroidering, quilting and sewing.
My Dad's sister always has a big family picnic for the 4th of July. It's one of the few times during the year when I get to see lots of far away family, so I'm looking forward to that.

I am looking forward to having eye surgery in August! Sad, right?! Haha...but I can no longer see well enough to embroider or hand applique, so I am hopeful a little experimental surgery will correct that!

Hi Amanda, and thanks for the giveaway. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of great grandchild #6 toward the end of July and, since the parents don't learn the sex of the baby before delivery, that makes it doubly exciting. What could be more exciting than that@ We are blessed.
