Topiary Tiles

I'm so excited to report that Veranda is now starting to ship!  For each collection, I design a complimentary pattern.

Introducing Topiary Tiles!  It uses one 10-square, 1 roll-up, plus sashing and border fabric.

It is so fun to explore the ways the different fabrics can work together in each block...

Thanks to my friend Pat Hopkins who sewed the sample.

I hope you enjoy Topiary Tiles.  And if any of you are going to be in the vicinity of Beaufort, SC, I'm excited about speaking about the development of this collection and my pattern line at the Sea Island Quilt Guild this Thursday.

Happy sewing!
Amanda

  1. What a nice pattern! It would be wonderful to hear you speaking about the collection. I live in the Northwest so if you ever travel this far from home you would have an appreciative audience up here too. Good news that the collection is shipping now.

  68. I love the topiary tiles pattern. I can see how it would be fun to combine the different fabrics to see how the different blocks would turn out. I saw you over at stash manicure and loved the lampshade idea. It is always fun for me to have some coordinates in a room other than another pillow.

  70. Hi Amanda! I discovered your blog from your post at Madamme Samm's this morning. I'm so excited because I have two lampshades identical to the one you used in your tutorial that I want to cover. One is large and the other is a smaller size for my bedroom. I can't wait to try out your technique and I have just the fabric I want to cover them with. Thanks so much for showing us this method. I have to tell you too that I think the pattern, Topiary Tiles is going to be just what I have been looking for to make some blocks that will highlight some larger prints that I have. It's so hard to find patterns that showcase the bigger prints but also give the blocks some 'personality'. I'm just getting back to my quilting after months away due to health issues so I am really excited about these new ideas. Thanks so much again for your great post at Madamme Samm's today. I have subscribed to the emails for you blog too. I don't want to miss a single post. Hugs...
