And the winners of the Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Volume 6 Giveaway are...

Drumroll please... The winner of the magazine is Denise, who said: Yeah, I think number three is the lie, but it's iffy! Very cute block -- you did a great job with it! :) And the winner of the pattern is Mary Jane, who said. I would guess you prefer gardening with fabric and not necessarily dirt, but I am only guessing. I like this block. Both guessed Option #3, which is correct! I majored in Industrial Design (which I actually didn't ever use, since my first job was in multimedia and I migrated into graphics), so I did work in a woodshop for 2 years, miraculously refraining from injuring myself using the tools there. HOWEVER (you knew this was coming, didn't you?), it was during that time that I actually impaled myself cutting into a bagel with a plastic bagel knife - so severely that I had to get stitches. #3 as the lie and it is a whopper! I have no gardening plans in my past or future since I can virtually kill any plant just by looking at it. I just enjoy looking at the gardens of others. I also wanted to apologize for not answering comments directly this week. I am absolutely swamped with work since I have a fabric collection going out and also have only 5 more days with the Bernina 780. I'll be better in December... and will have more giveaways then too... promise. And I'll show some more sneak peeks of Holiday Bouquet as well. Happy sewing! Amanda

Congrats to the winners. I didn't win, but at least I picked out the lie!

I'm DYING to hear what you thought about the 780. It looks like a dream machine on paper -- love the larger bobbin, more room for wider embroidery hoops and stuffing bigger quilts in for FMQ, yet not quite as big and beastly as the 830 machine and not priced quite as high. I'm even more interested in the 750QE, since I have a 200E/730E now and I don't use any of the on-screen editing or even half of the fancy bells and whistles on my current machine. When will you dish about your test-drive with the snazzy new sewbaby?
